Transfer: Declan Rice told to snub Chelsea for EPL rival

Arsenal legend, Emmanuel Petit, has told West Ham United’s Declan Rice to snub a move to Chelsea and join London rivals Arsenal instead amid the ongoing January transfer window.

Petit said Arsenal would be a perfect option for Rice ahead of Chelsea.

Rice was released by Chelsea during the developmental years of his career at Stamford Bridge.

The England international has regularly been linked with a return to his boyhood club Chelsea in recent years.

But Petit, who played for both Chelsea and Arsenal in the past, believes it would be better for Rice to join Mikel Arteta’s side because of their style of play this season.

“I know that Chelsea wants him, but if I were Declan Rice, I would not go to Chelsea, I would go to Arsenal. The two clubs are going in different directions and the way Arsenal is playing,” he told Compare.Bet.

“He would be the perfect option for Arsenal.”
