Why 11 Osun communities are in darkness — IBEDC

No fewer than 11 communities in Osun State have been thrown into darkness due to technical faults one of which was caused by a vehicular accident.

This was disclosed by the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) in an update on its social media handles on Monday.

“Dear Esteemed Customer, Kindly note that due to a technical fault on the Ile-Ife TCN Sekona 33KV feeder, customers in the following communities: Eleweeran, Ayepe, Moro, Edunabon, Ipetumodu, Yakoyo, Asipa, Akinlalu, Sekona, Odeomu and environs are experiencing power outage.

“Our technical team is working with TCN to ensure power supply is restored,” the IBEDC said.

Also, the distribution company disclosed that its customers in Efon Alaye are also without power.

“Due to a vehicular accident which affected the Efon/Osu 33KV feeder, customers in Efon Alaye and environs are experiencing power outage. Our technical team is working to ensure power supply is restored.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience,” IBEDC stated.
