Maikaba blames poor weather for Rangers’ draw against Dakkada

Rangers head coach, Abdul Maikaba has blamed poor weather conditions in Uyo for his side’s inability to beat Dakkada in Monday’s Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 15 encounter.

The Flying Antelopes were held to a 1-1 draw by their hosts.

Godwin Onyemaechi gave Rangers the lead in 13 minutes while Kufre Ebong equalised for the hosts 10 minutes later.

“Actually we came to Uyo to get the three points at stake but we are happy with the one point,” Maikaba told the club’s media.

“Despite the fact that the weather condition affected my boys especially early in the game but in the second half, they came out with some good football and created a lot of chances.”

Rangers will host Wikki Tourists in their next game at the Awka City Stadium on Sunday.
