I bought nothing of value with N2m share of ransom – Suspected kidnapper

A kidnapper, Haruna Musa, has lamented that he wasted two million naira realised from kidnapping.

The 28-year-old from Farang in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State told newsmen in Yola on Thursday that he wasted all the money he got without buying anything of value.

Musa was among nine suspects apprehended and paraded at the Adamawa State Police Headquarters in Yola.
“I participated in one operation where my other colleagues and I abducted one Shuaibu of Malabu, but I didn’t kill anyone,” he said.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, explained during the parade of the suspects that they were arrested by operatives of the command attached to Crack Squad.

“They were apprehended by the police in collaboration with local hunters from Gombi LGA,” Nguroje stated.

He added that Commissioner of Police Afolabi Adeniyi had ordered further investigation of the suspects before arraigning them in court.
