U-17 AFCON: Algeria youngster reveals admiration for Osimhen

Algeria forward Moslem Anatouf has revealed his admiration for Napoli hitman, Victor Osimhen.

Anatouf is currently representing his country at the ongoing 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations in Algeria.

The 17-year-old caught attention after scoring twice in hosts Algeria’s 2-0 win against Somalia in the opening game of the tournament last Saturday.

Osimhen is among the superstars that have played in the U-17 AFCON in the past.

The Nigeria international scored four goals for the Golden Eaglets side that came fourth at the 2015 edition hosted by Niger Republic.

The striker then went on to score 10 goals as the Eaglets later won the world title in Chile.

Anatouf is determined to follow in the footsteps of his idol.

“I personally have been very familiar with the story of the Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen,” Anatouf told CAFonline.

“His story is motivating for young players, and this competition is a great platform for players to shine and give themselves a chance to be scouted, especially since there are several clubs following the matches.”
