Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has named captain Martin Odegaard as the club’s player of the season.
Wright said Odegaard has been unbelievable for Arsenal, adding that his consistency for the Gunners this season has been tremendous.
Odegaard was on fire for Mikel Arteta’s side, scoring a brace as they defeated Chelsea 3-1 in a Premier League derby on Tuesday night at Emirates Stadium.
“I could not believe we got him on loan from Real Madrid in the first place and then when he came back. The fact that he’s captain now – leading by example and chipping in with that many goals. He has been unbelievable.” Wright told Premier League Productions.
“I think he has been our player of the season if I’m totally honest. William Saliba was on that track. But he has been injured. Odegaard’s consistency for Arsenal this season has been absolutely tremendous for us.”
