EPL: My best player – Gary Neville singles out ex-Chelsea star after Arsenal latest win

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has named Jorginho as the best player in Arsenal colours when the Gunners defeated Newcastle United 2-0 at St. James Park on Sunday.

It was a game many thought would be the most difficult for the Gunners but Mikel Arteta’s side came out with a very important victory.

Neville hailed the Italy international after the crucial Premier League win which has helped the Gunners keep pace with their formidable title rivals, Manchester City.

Martin Odegaard’s strike and a Fabian Schar own goal ensured all three points for Mikel Arteta’s men.

“My player of the match is Jorginho,” the former Manchester United and England defender said on Sky Sports.

“It was so important today for Arsenal. Not just to get closer to Man City but for themselves, to know they can come to a big away game and win, after what happened at Anfield and the Etihad.

“He added so much leadership, experience and composure. He was the Player of the Match by a mile today.”
