Rangers coach, Maikaba okays draw against Doma United

Rangers head coach, Abdul Maikaba was satisfied with the outcome of his side’s Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 17 encounter against Doma United on Sunday.

The Flying Antelopes held their hosts to a 0-0 draw at the Pantami Township Stadium, Gombe.

The result put the seven-time champions on the path of maintaining their top-flight status going into the final game of the regular season.

“It was a good game that we would have won but all the same, we make do with the point we got from the match,” Maikaba told the club’s media.

“My players seem too anxious to score which made them miss the opportunities we created. We continue to work on our weakness going into the Federation Cup.”

Rangers sit in seventh position on the Group B table with 20 points from 17 games.

The Coal City will face Kano Pillars in a Federation Cup Round of 32 clash on Wednesday.
