Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate for Kogi State, Barrister Adejo Okeme, has vowed to make the state a production hub if elected as governor in November. His promise was made during his tour to the three senatorial districts of Kogi State where he received blessings from all three royal fathers.
According to Idakwo Emmanuel, the Labour Party’s Publicity Secretary in Kogi State, Okeme is the only candidate with the support, prayers, and backing of the East, West, and Central zones. He added that Okeme’s leadership qualities were put on display during the visits, endearing him to the royal fathers who subsequently blessed him.
The royal fathers who blessed him included the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr. Ado Ibrahim; the Ohimege Igu of Koton Karfe; and the Atta Igala, who is the Chairman of the Kogi Council of Traditional Rulers.
Speaking on his resolution to address issues in the state, Okeme promised to resolve them to the satisfaction of everyone in the state. He said, “Labour Party is one big family with unstoppable abilities, and Barrister Okeme, no doubt, can turn the fortune of the state around.”
If elected, Okeme would be positioned to create an enabling environment for production hubs to thrive, attracting investors to the state. This move would have a positive effect on the economy of the state and, in turn, the lives of Kogi residents.
