In less than two years before the presidential election in Nigeria, it seems that political activities are already on the rise. Speaking on Arise TV on Monday, a former presidential aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba, revealed that over 120 heads of state have expressed their interest in attending the inauguration of the president-elect, Bola Tinubu, on May 29, 2023.
Garba debunked rumours that opposition was mounting against the incoming president and stated that the May 29th inauguration would proceed despite efforts to oppose it.
According to Garba, “Already, 120 heads of state indicated an interest in attending the inauguration of the incoming President-Elect and Vice President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, on May 29, 2023. Thus, there is nothing whatsoever that can stop the inauguration by the Grace of God.”
In reaction to parties filing lawsuits to prevent Tinubu’s inauguration, Garba dismissed them as “jokers”.
