Dana Air, a Nigerian airline, has announced its support for Hilda Baci, a world record-breaking chef, by gifting her one year of free tickets for all her domestic travels. The 27-year-old chef broke the current world record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual by cooking for 100 hours straight; the previous record was set by India’s Lata Tondon with 87 hours and 45 minutes.

The Chief Operating Officer of Dana Air, Ememobong Ettete, said that the airline has and will always support young Nigerians who embody the true Nigerian spirit as a proudly Nigerian brand. Ettete added that the airline wants to inspire others through their support for Hilda Baci and her mother, who is also a chef.

As part of their support, Dana Air also gifted Baci’s mother three months of free flight tickets. “We thank Hilda’s mum for giving us an amazing daughter and for being a huge support system to Hilda. We thank all those who came out to dispassionately support one of our own”, Ettete said.

Dana Air has always blazed the trail in terms of supporting art and entertainment, healthcare, and cultural events; their corporate social responsibility has been all-encompassing, the airline said.

By supporting the culinary arts through Hilda Baci’s record-breaking achievement, Dana Air is placing its stamp of excellence on a new sector. The airline’s support for young Nigerians with innovative ideas is a display of confidence in the country’s future.
