Comedian MCEE Twinko reveals past experience of sexual assault

Popular Edo-born comedian, Aviele Kelvin Twinko, commonly known as MCEE Twinko, has opened up about one of the worst experiences of his life – sexual assault at the hands of an opposite-sex person he trusted for help.

In a recent interview with Media Talk Africa, the multi-talented comic, who graduated in Mathematics and Economics, shared his upbringing and struggles in the entertainment industry. Without denying the positive impact of his family and few supportive friends, he spoke about his ordeal with a lady who offered to help him gain success in the industry.

Despite his utmost respect for her, this female help made several advances on him, asking for something in return, which led to her assaulting him. MCEE Twinko acknowledged that growing up, he had mostly positive experiences but the entertainment industry brought its own challenges and that he never received help easily.

MCEE Twinko is known for his hilarious online series, and he began displaying his talent as early as 1997. “Acting has always been a part of me. Due to my frequent use of Pidgin, people assumed I could not speak English, but that’s an odd misconception. I am unique in delivering my content,” he stated. MCEE Twinko also identified himself as a workaholic with a passion for anything that helps him survive – be it acting, filmmaking, directing, anchoring events, and more.

By sharing his difficult experience, MCEE Twinko has joined the conversation against sexual assault, particularly towards male victims whose stories are often ignored.
