UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya recently went through a breakup with his ex-girlfriend Charlotte Powdrell, who is now taking him to court. However, Adesanya insists that his assets are secured and that he is in a similar situation as that of Achraf Hakimi, the Paris Saint-Germain right-back who is currently in divorce proceedings with Spanish actress Hiba Abouk.
Adesanya referenced Hakimi’s situation, whereby the Moroccan international transferred all his wealth to his mother during his divorce proceedings to prevent Abouk from accessing his assets. Similarly, Adesanya says his assets are protected and that Powdrell has no claim to any of his fortunes.
Powdrell claimed that her relationship with Adesanya warranted her access to a portion of his assets. Adesanya, however, called her claims entitled and compared her to someone who came into his life with nothing and wants to leave with millions.
The 33-year-old Nigerian-born fighter took to Instagram to address the issue. “I would have taken half her sh*t too, but I don’t want half of NOTHING,” he said.
Adesanya is known for his impressive skills in the UFC ring, with a professional record of 20 wins and just one loss. He is regarded as one of the most talented mixed martial artists globally and is a force to reckon with in his weight category.
Despite the legal battle with Powdrell, Adesanya seems to be unfazed and focused on his career. Fans are looking forward to his next fight as they continue to be impressed with his exceptional performance in the octagon.
