UEFA Champions League Semi-final: Inter face AC Milan tonight

Tonight, the return leg of the UEFA Champions League Semi-final match between arch-rivals, Inter and AC Milan, will kick off by 8 pm.

The home team, Inter Milan, will play host to their derby rivals at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, after winning the first leg at Milan by 2-0.

The Nerazzurri took control of the match, courtesy of early goals in the first half by Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, at the 8th and 11th-minute marks, respectively.

With AC Milan occupying the 5th position on the Serie A table, and staying 4 points behind fourth-placed Lazio, the team needs to give it all it takes to ensure a spot in the Champions League finals.

The Rossoneri hope to bounce back from last Saturday’s 2-0 defeat by Spezia in the Italian league. AC Milan manager, Stefano Pioli certainly hopes to deploy his attacker, Rafael Leao, who missed the first leg due to a thigh injury.

According to Pioli, he said his team needs to be balanced and play with an exceptional attitude. Inter has won the Champions League three times, with the last time in 2010 under the ‘Special One’, Jose Mourinho. AC Milan remains the second team with the most success in the Champions League having claimed the league seven times, with the last being in 2007 when they faced Liverpool.
