Lagos Police Command arrests and remands Lady for assaulting a policeman in Ogombo

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested and arraigned Olufunmilayo Brioluwa for allegedly assaulting a police officer in Ogombo. According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Brioluwa was remanded to the Kirikiri Correctional Facility after the arraignment.

Furthermore, the incident occurred in Ogombo, and Brioluwa was accused of assaulting a police officer, which led to her arraignment in court. The defendant has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Facility until June 6 when the court will reconvene on the matter.

The Police Public Relations Officer also tweeted a picture, which depicted Brioluwa grabbing the policeman’s uniform while being arraigned. In addition, an original copy of the court document was attached to the tweet, highlighting the charges leveled against the accused.

The Lagos Police Command has been more stringent with lawbreakers in recent times. Therefore, it is not surprising to see the law enforcement agents deliver swift justice for alleged offenders.

In conclusion, the incident has again highlighted the importance of civility towards law enforcement agents in the country. Nigerians are advised to refrain from assaulting police officers while carrying out their lawful mandates.
