Kidnappers Strike Again in Kwara: One Killed, Three Abducted

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have struck in Kwara State, killing a person and abducting three others. The incident occurred on May 16 at Ijara-Isin in Isin Local Government Area of the state.

Confirming the incident, the Kwara State Police Command’s spokesperson, Ajayi Okasanmi, said that security operatives have been mobilized to rescue the victims and apprehend the suspects. The command has also urged residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.

An anonymous source disclosed that the victim who was killed during the attack was identified as Adeyemi from Pamo Isin. The identity of the abducted victims is yet to be revealed.

This incident marks another in a series of kidnappings that have plagued Kwara State recently. Both citizens and state authorities have expressed concerns over the rising wave of insecurity in the state.

The Kwara State government has been urged to take urgent steps to address the security challenges confronting the state. This includes providing more support to security agencies and strengthening security measures in the state.
