The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has made a shocking claim that those who are scheming to disrupt President-elect Bola Tinubu’s swearing-in ceremony are in a state of confusion. Keyamo went ahead to allege that these antagonists are now fighting publicly and disrupting their own affairs.
In a post shared via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, Keyamo described the situation as a miracle and attributed the confusion amongst Tinubu’s enemies to the work of God.
Keyamo wrote, “God has set confusion in the midst of those who were planning to disrupt the swearing-in of @officialABAT on May 29th. They are now fighting publicly amongst themselves and disrupting their own affairs to the extent that the court did not even recognise any of them. Miracle do dey tire Jesus?”
It is not clear who Keyamo is referring to as Tinubu has not publicly identified any foes ahead of his swearing-in ceremony, which is expected to take place on the 29th of May.
As it stands, Keyamo’s statement bears no indication of the identity of the people he is referring to, nor does it clarify if they are members of Tinubu’s party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
However, it is worth noting that the political atmosphere in Nigeria is characterised by intense competition between rival parties, so it is hardly surprising that there could be some level of conflict between groups.
For now, Tinubu’s supporters can savour Keyamo’s tweet as an optimistic sign that despite any challenges that may arise, all will be well when the president-elect takes the oath of office.
