With the theme, ‘Speaking with the Heart: The Truth in Love,’ pronounced by the Holy Father, Pope Francis, the event aims to highlight ways in which media practitioners can speak the truth with love. The day’s activities will commence with a special thanksgiving Mass at 10 a.m. at the cathedral.

A symposium on the theme will follow immediately after the Mass at the Cathedral hall, which will be chaired by the Chief Executive Officer of Rock City FM, Abeokuta, Dr Niran Malaolu. The Executive Director of the International Press Institute, Lagos, Mr Lanre Arogundade, will be the keynote speaker, focusing on how the media can communicate the truth with love.

Expert panellists will be present at the discussion, including: the Ogun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Waheed Odusile; former Osun State Commissioner for Information, Mrs Funke Egbemode; Executive Director/Founder of Media Career Development Centre, Lekan Otunfodunrin; and Lagos Council Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Adeleye Ajayi.
