Deji Adeyanju Asserts That Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso Deserve Ministerial Posts in Bola Tinubu’s Government

As the political space heats up ahead of the 2023 presidential election, Deji Adeyanju, a social media influencer, has opined that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, his New Nigeria People’s Party counterpart, should be compensated with ministerial slots in the incoming government of Bola Tinubu.

Adeyanju argues that Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, owes his victory to the duo, who created a diversion by leaving the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to contest on different platforms. By so doing, they took the shine off the PDP and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

It was reported a few days ago that Tinubu met with Kwankwaso outside the country, and the latter is likely to join the APC. However, the APC in Kano State and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje are said not to be pleased with the move as the political party lost heavily to Kwankwaso’s NNPP during the 2023 polls.

Reacting to this development, Adeyanju asked Tinubu to disregard Ganduje’s sentiments, as the governor added no value to his victory. He further stated that Tinubu should honour his promise to compensate Kwankwaso with two ministerial slots. Adeyanju added that Obi should also be compensated for the major role he played in Tinubu’s emergence as President.
