Carragher Tips Guardiola as One Of the Greatest Managers of All Time

Liverpool icon and former defender, Jamie Carragher, has named Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City boss, as one of the greatest managers ever. Carragher made the declaration after Arsenal’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

As Manchester City clinched their third Premier League title in four seasons, Carragher shared his optimism that the club could become triumphant in three competitions, the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup, making it a historic treble.

Carragher said, “I think they [Man City] will [win the Treble]. They will be big favorites going into the game against Inter Milan [in the Champions League]. The same with the FA Cup final against Manchester United.”

He went on to praise Guardiola’s tactics and vision, stating that he played a crucial role in Man City’s success. The former defender said, “it is not just Man City. With a different manager, they would not be reaching these heights. I think we are looking at one of the greatest managers of all time, and for me, he makes the biggest difference to Man City.”

Carragher concluded that Guardiola has taken the standards of management to new heights, and his peers could only look up to him.

This statement reveals Carragher’s confidence in the ability of both Manchester City and Guardiola to dominate in the coming years, and it would be compelling to see if they could achieve the feats Carragher outlined.
