Atiku and PDP unfazed by court’s dismissal of live broadcast application

The Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, recently dismissed the application by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for a live broadcast of proceedings. However, Atiku and the PDP claim the legal setback does not affect their petition against President-elect, Bola Tinubu. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, counsel to the PDP and Atiku, explained that the court deemed the live broadcast application irrelevant to the merit of the petition, noting that they were “prepared for hearing”. While the PEPC denied the requests for live stream, it did not affect the process’s continuity.
