The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has recently informed the public that it will close the sale of e-PIN for Direct Entry (DE) applications on Saturday, May 26, 2023. Furthermore, registration for DE candidates who have obtained the e-PIN will, however, end on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
JAMB highlighted that the registration, which began in February 2023, has been extended to allow candidates the opportunity to register. The board also revealed that the initial closing date was temporarily suspended, to aid the incorporation of certain measures aimed at improving the credibility of the exercise.
According to Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson of JAMB, the 2023 DE registration stands out among the rest, as it includes some characteristics intended to strengthen the board’s ability to tackle any flaws exploited by some unscrupulous individuals. It comes as no surprise to see an increase in the number of candidates in some of their offices.
It is essential to note that only candidates who possess certain qualifications are eligible for the Direct Entry registration process. Bachelor’s degree holders, Higher National diploma (HND) certificate, National Diploma (ND) certificate, Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) holders, and those with IJMB must obtain the JAMB Direct Entry form and register before the deadline.
Aspiring candidates are encouraged to adhere to this deadline and take advantage of the opportunity to register for Direct Entry before the closing date.
