EPL: Chelsea still pushing to sign Nigerian striker for Pochettino

Chelsea are still pushing to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen who would cost ‘at least’ €150m for their incoming new manager Mauricio Pochettino, according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

Chelsea have spent over £600millions since Todd Boehly arrived as co-owner last summer and look set to keep splashing the cash.

The Blues endured a miserable 2022-23 season, finishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table, and are in desperate need of a new striker.

Chelsea, along with Manchester United, have been linked with a move for Osimhen, who has just helped Napoli secure the Serie A title.

Osimhen has scored 28 goals across 37 matches for Napoli this season.

However, Osimhen is at the top of Chelsea’s list of potential new strikers and the west London club are still pushing to sign him despite his huge price tag.
