New NGF Chairman Pledges to Uphold Ideals and Vision of Forum

Governor of Kwara State and newly elected chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Malam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has pledged to uphold the ideals and vision of the forum in a personal statement made in Ilorin on Wednesday. Governor Abdulrazaq expressed gratitude to his colleagues for bestowing the chairmanship of the NGF upon him.

He acknowledged the responsibility of his new role and made a commitment to consult regularly with all members in order to arrive at a consensus on all issues pertaining to the progress and stability of the nation. Governor Abdulrazaq also assured that the NGF would maintain a close and cordial relationship with the President, the National Assembly, all Federal and State institutions, the business community, the civil society, the media, and development partners.

The NGF is recognized as the most credible and authoritative inter-party platform for consensus-building and peaceful resolution and advancement of pan-Nigeria goals, interests, and aspirations. Governor Abdulrazaq recognizes the eminent track record of the institution and pledges to uphold its values with dedication and loyalty.

The Governor’s statement has put to rest any doubts about his capability to lead the NGF and ensure that it continues to operate as an effective platform for national development. His pledge to uphold the ideals of the NGF is a crucial step towards achieving greater unity and progress among Nigeria’s governors. We hope that Governor Abdulrazaq fulfills his promise to consult regularly with colleagues and stakeholders and promotes cooperation in all endeavors for the advancement and promotion of national interest, peace, and progress.
