The swearing-in ceremony was held prior to the valedictory session of the Federal Executive Council meeting, which took place at the State House in Abuja.

The newly appointed commissioners, representing different states across the country, include Senator Ayogu Eze from Enugu State, Peter Opara from Imo State, Hawa Aliyu from Jigawa State, Rekiya Haruna from Kebbi State, Ismaila Agaka from Kwara State, Kolawole Abimbola from Oyo State, and Hauwa Aliyu (Jigawa State). Additionally, Ayuba Ngako has been appointed as the Federal Capital Territory representative.

The RMAFC is responsible for ensuring that revenue accruals are remitted to the appropriate accounts for the distribution of funds to the country’s three tiers of governance; federal, state, and local.

In a related development, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presented the report of the Health Reform Committee to President Buhari. The committee, which Osinbajo heads, was established to develop a roadmap for achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) across the country.

The report recommended increased funding for the healthcare sector, as well as other measures aimed at enhancing the sector’s efficiency. President Buhari is expected to review the report and implement its recommendations in due course.
