La Liga President Claims Vinicius Jr. Is Now Among Most Insulted Players

According to the president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, Vinicius Jr. is now receiving a great deal of insults from opposing fans in Spain’s top-flight league, just like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo did in the past. In the La Liga, Ronaldo was subjected to homophobic insults while Messi was mocked for his intellectual ability during their time at Real Madrid and Barcelona.

This revelation comes barely days after Valencia fans racially attacked Vinicius Jr. during a match.

“The great players like Ronaldo and Messi were the ones who received the most insults. For one, it was homophobic insults and for the other, it was intellectual disability,” Tebas said (h/t Madrid Zone on Twitter).

“Messi and Cristiano were the ones who received the most insults, now it is Vinicius because he is a great player.”
