President Muhammadu Buhari has said that Senator Ahmad Bola Tinubu, the incoming Government, will sustain the tempo of infrastructural development in Nigeria. He assured Nigerians while commissioning four federal government projects in Kano and Kaduna State on Friday, which include the international terminal of the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, the Nigerian Navy Logistics College Dawakin Tofa, the 3000-capacity Ultramodern Correctional Centre, and the procurement of aircraft, equipment, and buildings at the College of Aviation Technology Zaria, Kaduna State.
The president said his government had tried its best in the area of infrastructure and general works, expressing gratitude for the commissioning of the projects three days before his handover and urging the incoming government to keep up the pace.
“I have no doubt that the incoming government, which is also progressive, will sustain the tempo of improvement”, said Buhari.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State expressed appreciation to President Buhari for the major world-class standard projects in Kano. He said the Kano airport initiated aircraft landing in 1936 and has maintained the pace till date.
“The terminal building has been upgraded to this phase of development to compete with similar facilities in the whole world”, he added.
Ganduje appreciated President Buhari for taking Kano State to the next level, calling on the people of the state to utilize the facilities for economic growth and development.
