Former governor of Kano state, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, recently commissioned the new Ungwan Rimi Market, School and Emir Roads in Kaduna. Also commissioned were the expanded Bida Road by Bisi Akande, Kabala Flyover by Ali Modu Sheriff, Raba Link Road by ex-Vice President Namadi Sambo, and Umar Yar adua Road by Aisha Binani. El-Rufai noted that the projects are part of the comprehensive efforts of the administration to expand and improve critical public infrastructure across the state through the Urban Renewal Programme. President Muhammadu Buhari had commissioned the first phase of the urban renewal programme’s projects in January 2021.
During the ceremony, the former interim national chairman of the APC, Bisi Akande, appreciated El-Rufai for changing the face of Kaduna for the benefit of humanity and emphasised the importance of public infrastructure development.
Ex-Vice President Namadi Sambo also spoke at the event, stating that the Raba link road project was for the good and progress of Kaduna state people. While praying for Allah’s blessings for Governor El-Rufai, he added that the people were very proud of him and that Kaduna metropolis would be a new city for the next 50 years.
All the commissioning guests lauded the El-Rufai administration for the efforts in developing critical public infrastructure that would ensure economic growth and development in Kaduna State.
