North London Derby: Harry Redknapp names Arsenal’s two most important players

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has named the two most important Arsenal players ahead of the North London Derby on Sunday.

He noted that these players would be absolutely key if Mikel Arteta’s side are to beat Spurs.

Tottenham will trade tackles with the Gunners at the London Stadium on Sunday, and Arsenal will extend their lead in the Premier League table to eight points.

Manchester City were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United in Saturday’s Manchester derby.

Former Spurs boss Redknapp, meanwhile, has singled out Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey as the Gunners’ most important stars ahead of the game.

“While Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey might not win prizes for midfield style and sophistication, they have played as big – or maybe even bigger – part than most,” he told The Sun.

“Both of them are real fighters – big, strong, powerful and aggressive – like a couple of minders taking care of the ball players around them.

“You’ll see how important they are in today’s north London derby because Tottenham will be right up for it – and any side with Harry Kane in it always has a chance.”
