MURIC Congratulates President Buhari on Successful Administration

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has commended the outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration for its achievements during its term in office.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by Prof. Ishaq Akintola, the Executive Director of MURIC, he congratulated President Buhari and thanked Allah for his life.

According to Akintola, despite facing several challenges, President Buhari’s legacy will endure, and he will be remembered as the “Father of Modern Nigeria.”

He added that President Buhari had faced numerous difficulties, including a gassing conspiracy theory which kept him on the hospital bed for eight months. Yet he survived and toiled with all his strength to leave behind a lasting memorabilia for Nigeria.

The most notable success of his administration is in the area of security, where there has been a sustained reduction in terrorist attacks and the closure of many Internally Displaced People (IDP) camps. The government was able to subdue Boko Haram and ISWAP and transformed the Nigerian Army into the most deadly fighting machine on the continent of Africa through consistent funding and transparency.

Furthermore, his administration completed several Macadam road projects and bridges around the country, including the Second Niger Bridge which was recently commissioned. Rail transportation, which had been dormant for over four decades, has also been revived. Nigeria also got a national airline, Nigeria Air, towards the end of the administration.

The Executive Director of MURIC, however, emphasized that President Buhari’s greatest asset is his flawless character. Throughout his tenure, no allegation of corruption was laid against him, which makes him a rare gem in Nigerian politics.
