Osun State Governor Congratulates Indigenes for Receiving National Honours

The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated prominent indigenes of the state who were recently conferred with national honours by President Muhammadu Buhari. Adeleke expressed his satisfaction and appreciation to the awardees for being recognised for their immense contributions to the growth and development of Osun and the nation at large.

According to a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the awardees have distinguished themselves in different fields to earn the recognition of the President. He also described them as worthy ambassadors of the state and expressed his pride in their accomplishments.

Among the awardees from Osun State are former Governors, Bisi Akande, Rauf Aregbesola, Adegboyega Oyetola, and other notable personalities such as musician David Adeleke (Davido), as well as the Olowu of Kuta Kingdom- Oba Dr Hammed Oyelude.

Adeleke noted that the achievements of the awardees in their respective fields are worth celebrating as they have all contributed significantly to the growth and development of Osun State and Nigeria as a whole. He also urged them to continue their good works as they remain role models to young people looking up to them for inspiration.

The conferment of national honours on these distinguished Nigerians is expected to spur them to greater service to the nation and act as an inspiration to others.
