Warri Wolves Coach Predicts Victory over Bendel Insurance in Federation Cup Semi-final

Warri Wolves head coach, Jolomi Atune, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to end Bendel Insurance’s unbeaten run ahead of their semi-final clash in the Federation Cup. The match is scheduled for the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, on Thursday, June 1.

Atune, a former assistant coach of the Golden Eaglets, described the game as a “big battle” and a “local derby.” Speaking to Media Talk Africa, he said, “We (Warri Wolves) know them and they (Bendel Insurance) know us, it will be a big battle.”

Notably, the last time both teams met during the 2018 Nigerian National League (NNL) season, Bendel Insurance emerged victoriously with a lone goal. However, Atune dismissed the previous result, stating that his team has “all it takes to halt their unbeaten run and progress to the final.”

As the anticipation for this much-anticipated semi-final build, football enthusiasts are looking forward to a thrilling encounter between the two former Premier League teams. It remains to be seen whether Warri Wolves will be able to end Bendel Insurance’s unbeaten run and secure a spot in the Federation Cup final.
