Recent reports suggest Manchester City have identified Fabian Ruiz, the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, as a potential replacement for Ilkay Gundogan.
As per Don Balon (via El Nacional), Ruiz has piqued Manchester City’s interest as they search for a player to replace departing Gundogan.
Gundogan, whose contract is due to expire in June, appears destined to leave the Etihad Stadium.
Meanwhile, Ruiz arrived at PSG from Napoli last summer for €23 million and was reputed as a superb ball-playing midfielder. However, the 27-year-old midfielder has failed to secure a regular starting spot in Christophe Galtier’s lineup for most of the season.
Ruiz has contributed three goals and as many assists in 37 appearances for PSG in various competitions this season. The possible transfer of Ruiz to Manchester City this summer may cost the club approximately €30 million.
