Few Turnout at Voter Registration Posts in Massingir, Gaza

As voter registration comes to a close, many registration posts in Massingir, Gaza, have seen very low levels of turnout, with some registering only five to nine voters a day. The situation is in contrast to many other parts of the country, including Maganja town in Zambézia, which has registered over 123.9% of its target of 13,100 voters. Mobile equipment for the registration post in the 2nd Neighbourhood of Chókwè City is reportedly kept at the residence of a named retired teacher, rather than at STAE district headquarters. As of Friday 26 May, 72,500 voters had registered in the entire Maganja da Costa district, representing 81.9% of the target of 88,800 voters.
