The Senator representing Zamfara Central senatorial district, Kabir Marafa, has made a statement concerning the future of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria. According to him, the National Leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will only reward loyal party members and not defectors or political turncoats.
Marafa, who is a known supporter of Tinubu, stated this during a recent interview with journalists in Abuja. He advised politicians to stay loyal to the APC if they want to enjoy the benefits of the ruling party.
The Senator went on to say that Tinubu’s loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari during the 2019 election was one of the factors that helped the party secure victory.
“Tinubu played a major role in ensuring victory for the APC in the last election. He was loyal to President Buhari and the party, and that’s why the party will reciprocate his loyalty by rewarding only the faithful ones,” Marafa said.
He added that the APC is a party that values loyalty and commitment, stating that it is not a party for those who are after personal gains.
“This is a party that values loyalty, and that’s what Tinubu stands for. He has sacrificed a lot for the party and for Nigeria, and the party will not forget his contributions,” he added.
Marafa also spoke on the crisis rocking the party in Zamfara State, saying that the Supreme Court decision that nullified the party’s primaries in the state was a wake-up call for the APC.
He called on the party leadership to ensure that the mistakes of the past are not repeated, and that the party’s constitution is respected at all times.
In conclusion, Marafa’s statement is a message to politicians in Nigeria that loyalty is key to earning the support of the ruling party and its leadership. The APC is known for rewarding those who are loyal to its cause, and with Tinubu’s influence in the party, it is likely that loyalty will be a major factor in determining who gets what in the future.
