The Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has taken a bold step to restructure his administration with a major shakeup following the removal of Education Secretaries in all seventeen Local Government Areas of the state.
The move also saw the dissolution of the Chairmen of Transition Committees from across the seventeen LGAs of the state. The Governor gave the directive for the immediate handover to Heads of Service, HoS in the LGAs.
Meanwhile, Governor Otti has appointed new individuals to fill up various positions in his administration. The Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Kazie Ukoh, made the statement and named individuals, who will serve in the following positions:
Michael Akpara, Special Adviser on Finance; Uwanna Ikechukwu, Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters and Professor Uche Eme Uche, Special Adviser on Education.
The others include Professor Joel F. Ogbonna, Special Adviser on Petroleum Matters; Dr Clifford C. Agbaeze, Senior Special Assistant on Agriculture; Mr Chimereze Okigbo, Special Adviser on Internally Generated Revenue, IGR; Mr Uche Mark Nwosu, Chief of Protocol; Mr Uzor Nwachukwu, Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Additionally, another set of appointees are; Mr Kingsley Anosike, Special Adviser on Planning and Strategy; Uzoma Nwagba, Senior Special Assistant on Digital Economy and SME; Rev Fr Christian Uche Anokwuru, Special Adviser on Policies and Interventions; Mrs Ifeoma Thomas, Special Assistant on Vulnerable Groups and Poverty Alleviation; Pastor Dike Nwankwo, Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties; Mr Okey Kanu, Special Adviser on Strategic Communications.
Other appointees are Dr. Betty Emeka-Obasi, Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties; Chinedu Ekeke, Senior Special Assistant on Youth and Sports Development; Chuka Ofili, Senior Special Assistant, Domestic; Mr Dodoh Okafor, Special Assistant on Public Communication and Mr Uche Ukeje, Special Assistant on Aba rejuvenation and Mr Dodoh Okafor, Special Assistant on Public Communication. Navy Commander Macdonald Ubah, Rtd, has been named Special Adviser on Security. Meanwhile, Mr Luke Ukara Onyeani has been appointed Special Assistant on Legislative Matters, and Chimezie Ukaegbu, Special Adviser on Trade and Commerce.
