BREAKING: Oyo police declare ‘Auxiliary’ wanted

The Oyo State Police Command has declared Iskilu Wakili, popularly known as ‘Auxiliary’, wanted. This follows allegations that he is responsible for multiple violent crimes, including murder, rape, and arson, in the south-western state.

In a statement released by the police spokesperson, Olugbenga Fadeyi, on Sunday, the public was urged to report any sightings or information on the whereabouts of the wanted man to the authorities.

This announcement comes after a clash between Wakili’s group and members of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) in the Ayete area of Ibarapa on Saturday. The police intervened and worked to restore calm in the area.

The OPC has alleged that Iskilu Wakili, who claims to be a security head in the area, has been operating in the region for several years, terrorizing farmers and villagers. The situation has caused widespread panic and unrest among residents in the area.

The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has condemned the violent clash and ordered a full investigation into the situation. The governor promised that anyone found to have had a hand in the violence would be brought to justice.

The call to declare ‘Auxiliary’ wanted marks a significant shift in the government’s stance towards the alleged criminal. There have been several calls by residents of the state to bring Wakili to justice, and this latest development is expected to provide some relief for those affected by his alleged crimes.

As the situation unfolds, authorities in the state are working to maintain law and order and restore public confidence in the security apparatus. Residents are hopeful that justice will be served, and that peace will be restored to the affected areas.
