Plateau United’s head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has applauded the Nigerian Football Federation’s (NFF) Interim Management Committee (IMC) and Referees Committee for their respective contributions to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) this season.
The former MFM coach commended the efforts of the referees in ensuring fair play throughout the season, stating that they had an impressive on-field display.
He urged the referees to build on the successful season, citing areas they could improve on for next term.
“I must give credit to the NFF Referees Committee and the Interim Management Company (IMC) for bringing sanity to Nigerian football,” the coach stated. “In terms of officiating, many referees have done better this season.”
Although Ilechukwu’s Plateau United missed out on the NPFL Super Six playoffs and lost to Rangers in the semi-final of the Federation Cup, he remained optimistic for the next season.
