The political atmosphere in Borno State has been subdued with the news of the death of the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa.
Shuwa, who served as Governor Babagana Zulum’s SSG during his first tenure, died on Saturday at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.
With a long-standing track record, the seasoned administrator worked at both state and federal levels and was known for his dedication and hard work.
Although the circumstances surrounding his death remain unknown, his contributions to the state, particularly during Zulum’s first term in office, will not be forgotten.
As the state mourns the loss of one of its finest, sympathizers and associates of the deceased are offering their condolences to his immediate family and loved ones.
