Ebonyi Governor appoints 21 special assistants

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru has appointed 21 special assistants on internal security and new media. These appointees will be inaugurated on Monday.

The appointees, who were selected from each of the 13 local government areas of the State, are mainly youths.

The move is seen as a deliberate attempt to address the challenge of communal clashes, killings, and destruction of properties by unknown gunmen in the State.

The appointment of over 15 special assistants on internal security is an indication of the Ebonyi Governor’s reinvigorated commitment to deal with the menace and bring peace and security to the State.

Among the appointees are Emerike Chinedu – SSA Security, Ebonyi North; Felix Okemini – SSA Security, Izzi LGA; Sunday Ogbonna – SA Security, Abakaliki LGA, and Mrs. Ifeoma Agwu – SA, Primary Education.

Others include, Dr. Boniface Nwankwo – SA Documentation, Leo Ekene Oketa – SA New Media, and Sylvester Nwamini – SA, Streetlight.

It is expected that the appointment of these special assistants will be beneficial to the State, as the young appointees will bring vitality and creativity to the job, making a significant difference in the security and general well-being of the people.
