Abia State Government Demands Return of Government Properties

The Government of Abia State has issued a directive to officials of the previous administration, urging them to return government properties that are still in their possession.

The directive was made known in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu, on Sunday. According to the statement, the properties in question include vehicles, generators, laptop computers, and other assets.

The government has instructed anyone who is in possession of any such properties to return them to the office of the SSG on or before 4 pm of Tuesday, June 6, 2023. It further added that the individuals will be required to obtain necessary acknowledgement from the office upon return of the properties.

Failure to comply with the directive will result in sanctions, the government warned.
