Roberto Calenda, the representative of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, is set to have a meeting with the owner of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis. The purpose of their discussion would be to determine the future of the Nigerian forward at the Italian club.
The Italian transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marcio, reports that the meeting would centre on Napoli’s interest in Osimhen and make plans for his future at the club.
While De Laurentiis had earlier said that Osimhen is not for sale, it is believed that a tempting offer for the Nigerian could change the club’s stance.
Reports suggest that Napoli values the former Lille striker at €150m, a valuation that has put off potential suitors such as Manchester United, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Osimhen has been in superb form for Napoli since he joined them in 2020, scoring 31 goals in all competitions in the 2022/23 season. It is no surprise that he has attracted interest from clubs across Europe.
The meeting between Calenda and De Laurentiis would be crucial to the next line of action for the striker, as he considers his options amid growing interest from top clubs.
