APC moves to reclaim Osun from PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has commenced moves to return to government in 2026.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defeated ex-Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in the July 2022 election.

On Wednesday, the APC leadership directed party officials in wards and local government areas to resume meetings and other political activities.

At a stakeholders’ meeting in Osogbo, acting State Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal said no effort would be spared to ensure the party returns to power.

He explained that the parely, convened at the instance of Oyetola, was to chart a new course for the progress and success of the APC.

Lawal commended members for their resilience throughout the litigation period, assuring that “right mechanisms” will be emplaced for the betterment of all.

“After the Supreme Court judgment, we have not met with a large house like this. We remain committed to strengthening the party.

“What happened is divine and we have taken it in good faith as God’s will. APC will come back to government soon.

“Let’s return to our various units, wards and councils to start mobilising our people across the nooks and crannies”, he urged.

The APC chairman added that the meeting was a sign that “the journey to reclaim Osun has begun right now”.
