Kano govt, NLC chart fresh course on staff’ welfare

The Kano State Government has prolonged an invite to the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Kano State Chapter, for discussions aimed toward enhancing the welfare of civil servants within the state.

Representing Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo revealed that the brand new administration was dedicated to establishing a strong partnership between the federal government and labour.

Highlighting the administration’s dedication to upholding the rights and privileges of staff in Kano State, Abdussalam careworn the importance of the Kwankwasiyya rules, which had been aimed toward enhancing the lives of Kano State residents.

He assured the NLC that the present administration had pledged to take care of wholesome relationships with all unions within the state and expressed gratitude to the NLC management and members for promptly responding to the federal government’s invitation.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Kano State NLC, Comrade Kabiru Inuwa emphasised that the period of labour gangsterism was over, because the NLC was now a companion in progress.

Regarding industrial actions, the Chairman defined that the Kano chapter of the NLC follows the directives of the nationwide physique.

He said that the NLC’s involvement ensures that state governments think about the implementation capabilities of assorted states when making choices relating to wage increments and insurance policies mandated by the federal authorities.
