Troops Eliminate Six Bandits and Recover Arms and Ammunition in Kaduna

The troops deployed under Operation Forest Sanity have successfully taken down six bandits during a recent raid on the Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Danmadami, confirmed this report in a statement released on Saturday, highlighting that the bandits were blasted to neutralization during their hideout raid in Maidaro village.

The operation was conducted with covert precision as the troops engaged the bandits fiercely in a gun battle resulting in casualties on the side of the bandits while the troops suffered no form of losses whatsoever.

During the raid, the camp used by the bandits was destroyed, and a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered. The recovered items included Five AK-47 rifles, 192 rounds of 7.62 by 39mm Special ammunition, 74 rounds of 7.62 by 54mm Special ammunition, nine AK-47 rifle magazines, three improvised explosive devices (IEDs), three Baofeng radios, one PKM, and three motorcycles, among other items.

The military high command has commended the troops of Operation Forest Sanity for their gallantry during the operation, and also urged the general public to provide credible and timely information on terrorist activities and any other forms of criminality within their surroundings.
