NPL playoffs: Agoye assures Sunshine Stars will bounce back stronger next season

Sunshine Stars head coach Edith Agoye has assured that his team will build on the experience gained at the Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs.

The Owena Waves defeated Lobi Stars 3-1 in their final game of the competition at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Sunday afternoon.

Agoye expressed optimism that his youthful side will perform better next season.

“The experience gained here in the NPL Super Six playoff is a good one going forward for my players,” he told Media Talk Africa in a post-match interview.

“We will no doubt build on this, and everyone will see an improved Sunshine Stars next season. We are proud of our achievements this season.”

Sunshine Stars finished the NPL Super Six playoff with five points from one win, two draws, and two defeats.
