The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has pledged that the state will witness an aggressive execution of life-touching projects in his second tenure. This promise was made on Monday in his goodwill message on the occasion of the 2023 Democracy Day.
Governor Mohammed stated that ongoing projects will be completed, while new ones will be initiated to improve the standard of living of the people of Bauchi State. His administration will continue to focus on infrastructural development, such as road construction, rehabilitation and construction of health and educational facilities, agricultural inputs, and machinery, and ensure that water supply is available to everyone.
“The new mandate given to me by the good people of Bauchi State to preside over the governance of the state for another four years is a challenge to me to prove that my performance during the last four years was not a fluke,” the governor said.
He added that his administration will also prioritize human capital development by economically empowering youths. He pledged to collaborate with and support security agencies to rid the state of criminal elements.
Governor Mohammed stated that democracy was the best form of government and that celebrating Nigeria’s 24th Democracy Day was a testimony that democratic governance has come to stay in Nigeria. He urged everyone to contribute to good governance irrespective of political affiliations.
The Bauchi State Governor concluded that his government would make a positive difference in the lives and livelihood of the people of Bauchi State and leave the state better than they met it.
The governor’s commitment to governance and economic development in Bauchi State is laudable and should be supported by all well-meaning individuals and stakeholders in the state.
