Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna and the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, has opened up about her relationship with her colleague, Groovy. In her recent interview with Joy Prime TV, Ghana, the reality TV star admitted that her connection with Groovy was “genuine” until a shocking discovery changed everything.
Phyna, who is known for her outspoken nature, revealed that she found out that Groovy was dishonest with her and was chasing other girls while pretending to be committed to her. She stated, “Initially, getting into the relationship [with Groovy], it was genuine for me till I found out that it wasn’t genuine for him. So, when I heard that he wanted some other girl. Though, I liked him so much, no cap. But when I found out the way things were going, I just happened to be smart, like, ‘common, I’m an Edo girl and we don’t carry last.’
The BBNaija winner also mentioned that despite finding out that the relationship was nothing but a game to Groovy, she continued to play along, and he continued to ship them during their stay in the Big Brother house. However, she always knew what she was doing, and when she discovered that Groovy had feelings for other women, she decided to drop the relationship.
