The 2023 Premier Gospel Awards in the UK celebrated 50 years of gospel music, and Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, emerged as the Best International Act at the event held on Friday at the Cadogan Hall in Chelsea, London.

The excited singer expressed her gratitude for the recognition and attributed it to the grace of God and the unwavering support of her fans, friends, and family. While speaking about the award, Mercy Chinwo said, “I’m humbled and honored to receive this prestigious award. This award is not just for me; it is for everyone who believes in the power of music to touch hearts and change lives.”

Mercy Chinwo, who recently released her album, ‘Satisfied’, took to her Instagram page to express her joy and thank her supporters for their votes. She wrote, “GOD IS GOOD. Thanks for the honour @premiergospel. To every one of you who voted, thank you! God bless you all.”

The Premier Gospel Awards also celebrated other winners like Limoblaze as Best Male Vocalist, Annatoria as Best Female Vocalist, Jireh with the Best Song, Manor Collective as Best Group, and Choir of the Year as The Spirituals, among others.
