The football world is rife with rumors that former Manchester United head coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is in line to fill the vacant manager’s job at Leicester City. It is believed that the club is seeking to make this crucial appointment in the near future.
After being relegated during the last day of the 2022/23 season, the Foxes are looking to rebuild under new management. Leicester’s interim manager, Dean Smith, is not expected to retain this role in the team. Therefore, the club is currently considering other options for the position, with Scott Parker and Enzo Maresca being among the potential candidates.
However, the Daily Mail reveals that there is “some support” for Solskjaer among the board members at Leicester. Should he accept the position, he would be taking charge of the King Power Stadium.
Solskjaer has been on a break from football since leaving Manchester United back in November 2021. His last few seasons at the club had been largely unimpressive, leading to his dismissal. However, the Norwegian coach is still highly regarded in the industry, and his experience in coaching a Premier League team could be an asset for Leicester City.
It remains to be seen whether Solskjaer will find a new home at Leicester City. But one thing is for certain; the Leicester board will need to make a wise appointment to get the club back on track next season.
